Heel tendon inflammation
Description
Achilles tendonitis or inflammation (swelling) of Achilles tendon that is stretching from down part of calf muscle to the heel. Pain is being felt in the back of the ankle and it is being worsened by moving.
Symptoms
Pain in back of the ankle, a diminished mobility of the ankle, swelling of the back of the ankle.

Anamnesis is taken and physical examination is done.

Therapy
Treatment consists of immobilization,nonsteroidal anti-inflamatory drugs (brufen/ibuprofen/motrin or advil, naproxen/naprosyn), paracetamol and ice can be used.
