ACE inhibitor induced cough (blood pressure medication side effect)

Description

ACE inhibitor (angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor) is drug prescribed for control of blood pressure and /or cardiac insufficiency. Most frequent drugs arelisinopril, captopril,enalapril and ramipril. Adverse effects of these medicaments are hypotension, persistent cough and swelling of lips and tongue (angioedema).

Symptoms

Low blood pressure, weakness, coughing, swelling of lips/tongue.
