Description

Group of disorders which affect on many brain functions, including movement, vision, sensations, thinking ability and speech. Cerebral palsy (CP) is most often caused by brain injury while the baby is in the uterus or during the delivery. There is no cure for CP. Symptoms

Weakness, mental retardation, convulsions, speech issues, visual disorders, splasticity, problems with walking, spasms, relaxed muscles.

Overview

History of disease is being taken and physical examination is being done. CT scan or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can identify brain abnormalities. Electrcephalogram (EEG) is used to determine the cause of any coexisting attacks.

Therapy
