Skin care in winter

Winter, like every season, brings us significant challenges regarding body care. Body care is complex in the summer, but it is much more complicated in the winter to keep the skin well-groomed and healthy.

Important to note is that skin care must be done from the outside as well as the inside.

There is still no magic cream on the market that will keep the skin healthy if we do not sleep enough, do not consume adequate water, and do not have a balanced diet.

Here are a few things you should pay attention to in winter when it comes to external skin care.

Hydration

As always, hydration comes first. Adequate amounts of water should be consumed, but attention should be paid to showers and baths. When it comes to showering, the water should be lukewarm because hot water further dries the skin. Pay attention to the composition of your shower gel and avoid aggressive components that further dry the skin. Of course, after showering, gently dry your skin with a towel and apply hydrating milk or skin care oil that suits you. Before going to bed, apply hydrating cream on your face and hydrating lotion on your body.

Winter clothes

Of course, you should dress appropriately for this season. Before leaving the house, apply SPF, hand cream, and lip balm. Don't forget to wear a hat, scarf, and gloves.

Butters and oils

Oils and butter can be used throughout the year, but in the winter, they are vital for maintaining well-groomed skin. Research which oil suits you best and use it all year round.

A balanced diet

Winter is the period when our immunity most often declines, which, of course, affects the skin. Make sure that your diet is based on healthy foods that stimulate your immune system. Avoid industrial sugars and fast food, and of course, don't overdo it because it will affect your weight.


If you dedicate yourself to nutrition and skin care, you are well on your way to shining in the winter. Don't forget that nothing happens overnight, so even adequate skin care requires effort and discipline. The result of dedication and persistence will be compliments related to your skin that you will receive from those around you.
